On May 15, 2015, my wife Arianna and I set out on a coast-to-coast road trip across Canada. As the journey unfolded, it began to take on a scale—and at times even a sense of the epic—beyond anything we had anticipated: 75 days on the road, 21,000 kilometres covered, ten provinces crossed (we spared the three territories for another time). Above all, hundreds of conversations slowly stitched a country together, one story at a time, alongside images of places, people, and moments that resist easy interpretation.
